Royal Family News: Meghan Markle Going In To Labor Early?

Reports state that the Duchess of Sussex has a genetic condition that has been known to go with early labour. According to experts, it is possible that she might go into labor before her daughter’s due date as a result of a unique physical characteristic.

Meghan Markle is almost due to welcome her first daughter, and second child, with her husband Prince Harry. The couple first revealed the sex of their unborn child during an Oprah interview that aired in March. Since then, they have decided not to disclose the baby’s due date or even a name for the baby, but the Duchess is predictably expected to give birth sometime this summer.

The date is probably fast approaching as the Duchess refrained from attending the funeral of her grandfather-in-law Prince Philip, which took place last month, as a result of her doctor’s advice.

Experts Weigh In On the Duchess Of Sussex’s Unique Condition

Since confirming the pregnancy, especially after Meghan Markle suffered from a miscarriage, the couple has kept busy promoting mental health awareness and campaigning for the fair distribution of vaccines worldwide.

While the royal duo’s fans are desperate to know the name of the forthcoming daughter and have even tried a couple of guesses, the couple has opted to keep it to themselves. There’s been speculation of the girl’s name honoring her deceased great-grandfather Prince Philip, who she never got to meet, to others like Diana Jr., Queen Elizabeth’s childhood nickname Lilibet, and even taking her name from her mother’s “real” first name, Rachel.

As the end of May approaches, the long days of waiting are almost rounding up. A few royal insiders are of the opinion that fans could be hearing about the Sussexes’ baby news a lot sooner than expected, as a result of an unusual anatomical condition.

According to birth coach Alexandra Kremer, the Duchess of Sussex “could have an earlier or quicker labor,” as a result of the condition.

The Duchess’ double-jointed fingers surprisingly make her a candidate for an early due date. This condition is formerly known as joint hypermobility, or joint laxity, and is said to affect at least 20% of people.

“Due to how fragile the connective tissue can be, hypermobility has shown that there can be a connection with early labor,” Alexandra Kremer told The Sun.

Pregnant women who are double-jointed may experience “early dilation of the cervix”, says the Hypermobility Syndrome Association. Furthermore, it can lead to a “premature rupture of the membranes and hence premature labor and delivery”.

Kremer also warned that hypermobility means that pregnancy could possibly take more of a “toll on you and your body”, advising that Meghan Markle may need “extra joint support like a pelvic belt”.

Dr. Adam Taylor, an anatomy physicist agrees that Meghan’s finger condition may indicate the possibility of an earlier — and luckily, quicker — birth.

“The ligaments of the pelvis, which help hold the pelvis together, are believed to loosen over pregnancy,” he said. “So any more mobility within these from having hypermobility may help make delivery easier too.”

But Meghan Markle likely has nothing to fear as she’ll be taken care of by some of the best in the field when she does go into labor.

Meghan’s maternity hospital choices include high-end clinics and holistic birth centers, meaning that she’ll receive one of the best care in the world as she delivers her second child.
