According to one royal commentator, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s cringe interview with Oprah Winfrey may have cost them the celebrity life they so painfully, obviously desire.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex invited the like of the Clooneys to their wedding not because they knew them but because they have ambitions.

But now, writing in The Guardian, Barbara Ellen says the pair’s over the top antics have severely impacted the pair’s chances of being accepted by Hollywood’s in crowd. They ditched true royalty for fake royalty but now the celebs they desire to mingle with are nowhere to be found.

Ellen wrote, “Considering where Meghan and Prince Harry wish to end up, are they blowing it up big-time? Put it this way: has Michelle Obama ever sat on a TV sofa b****ing about her sister-in-law?”

She is referring to Meghan throwing verbal punches at Kate, Duchess of Cambridge during her, “intimate conversation,” with Oprah. Many thought the “intimacy” was far too tacky to be taken seriously. Who needs enemies when you have relatives like Meghan and Harry?

Ellen thinks this kind of full throttle vengeance will cause others to think twice before inviting them into their inner circles: “While it’s accepted that such behavior is offensive to the royals, it’s forgotten that it’s also the antithesis of how the mega-rich, uber-influential, notoriously private elite conduct themselves.”

Meghan and Harry have made no secret of wanting to breathe the same air as George and Amal Clooney, Bill and Melinda Gates, Beyonce and Jay-Z and Barack and Michelle Obama, but Ellen points out these celebrities are a, “discreet breed, living in micromanaged worlds, operating a strict privacy-first code.” In other words they don’t rat out others at the drop of a hat.

The Markle’s have broadcast long and loud who they are at this point. Is anyone they crave to associate with even listening or are they just tabloid noise for the hoi polloi?
