British royal family news shows that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry want everyone to, “unleash a groundswell of real acts of compassion” for International Women’s Day.
The new International Women’s Day page on the Archewell Foundation website is a part of a massive do-over of the entire site itself.
This weekend the couple made it a point to rebrand themselves yet again via Archewell. Erased are the two childhood photos with their mothers from the homepage and in their place is the frequently recycled photo of Meghan and Harry actually volunteering somewhere at some point in time.
So what is the new message from these two who are being dragged for dragging his family on Oprah while the rest of the clan worry about the fate of hospitalized Prince Philip? “Compassion in action,” they have the nerve to crow!
“Welcome to Archewell. Through our non-profit work, as well as creative activations, we drive systemic cultural change across all communities, one act of compassion at a time.”
Once Buckingham Palace confirmed that the couple will not return as working members of the royal family, Meghan and Prince Harry updated their website; gone are pictures of family and in are their place are suggestions for activism.
Last year Meghan celebrated International Women’s Day by showing up at Robert Clack Upper School in the east London town of Dagenham. That was before she and Prince Harry fled the country for a life of “financial freedom” in the US.
At the time Meghan said, “When we thought about what I wanted to do for International Women’s Day this year, for me it was incredibly important to be with the women of our future. And that is all of the young women here, as well as the young men who play a very large part in this. Specifically coming to your school made a lot of sense for me because of this social justice and the impact that it’s rooted in.”
In 2018 Meghan and Prince Harry went to Birmingham where a, “social enterprise event,” took place. There young women participated in activities designed to boost science, technology, engineering and math-based education and jobs. In 2015 Meghan spoke at a UN Women’s Conference in New York in about gender equality.
