Royal Family News: COVID Being Used As Convenient Excuse For Meghan Markle To Avoid The UK?

British royal family news reveals that the royal family has a multitude of events in the offing this year, from milestone birthdays to important family events. Last month the rumor mill churned with speculation about Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry and whether or not they would be able to visit or attend any one of the many official events.

More and more it’s looking that if either one of them bothers to show up at all, it will be Harry and him alone.

Royal Family News – The Markle’s Will Skip The UK In 2021?

The couple did not exactly leave on the best of terms with his family, and royal watchers have been eager to see the fences mended. Maybe not this year? If royal experts are to correct there will be just one seat on the private jet occupied, and that will be by Prince Harry.

Omid Scobie is the self-professed soul mate of Meghan and her biographer. The co-author of the book Finding Freedom told magazine OK! that his bestie will not be with her husband this summer—if he goes to the UK.

“Meghan wouldn’t want to be away from Archie, and it would be very tricky to factor a small child into their travels with all the restrictions that could potentially be in place,” Scobie said. Additionally any plans for either one of them are “up in the air” because of COVID-19. It would be “easier for the duke to do the trip solo,” Scobie said.

Royal Family News – Is It Easier For Harry to Travel Alone?

In terms of that is easier family politics wise, it likely is easier for the divisive duchess to stay home. All sorts of negativity has been attributed to her, from calling palace aides mean to complaining about the luxe accommodations given to her free of charge.

Of course, what about Archie? He’s already racked up plenty of frequent flier miles, but COVID is a convenient excuse for many, maybe the Markle’s, too?

Nonetheless, Scobie claims that, “Archie loves being on Zoom calls with the family, and the queen has been enjoying those throughout lockdown. I’m sure Meghan will send the queen some gorgeous flowers for her birthday and also get Archie to help her with the card.”

The Sunday Times was the first to report that Markle’s could be in the U.K. in June for Queen Elizabeth II’s 95th birthday and the Trooping the Colour parade.
