Royal Family News: Camilla Parker Bowles Is The Ultimate Royal Grandmother

British Royal family news reveals Camilla Parker Bowles might be a lot of things to a lot of people, but according to her family, she’s the best royal grandmother out there. In fact, Duchess Camilla recently revealed a rather wholesome activity that she loves to do whenever she’s around her grandchildren. Here’s what you need to do.

According to a video post on her Reading Room Instagram this past week, the Duchess of Cornwall says that she loves to read to her grandchildren in the same way that she read to her children when they were younger.

I read to my children and now I read to my grandchildren,” she said. “I love it. I read to them when they were absolutely tiny. And they’ve got older and older and older, and now they actually read to me!”

Camilla Parker Bowles has made it no secret that she is very close with her two children, Andrew Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes, and her five grandchildren; Eliza Lopes, Gus Lopes, Lola Parker Bowles, Freddy Parker Lopes and little Louis Lopes. In fact, while she and Prince Charles were still in quarantine during the early months of the pandemic last year, Camilla said that she missed giving her grandchildren hugs the most and couldn’t wait to get out of isolation so she could see her family.

In her Easter-focused post, in which she promoted children’s book recommendations, Camilla also opened up about how she loves to volunteer with one of her favorite organizations, Beanstalk and how important it is to read at any age. “The difference it made to their lives — I mean, it’s so important, I think, to just read from an early age,” Camilla shared.

With that said, Camilla did not share whether or not she reads to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, or Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son, Archie Harrison, over Zoom. While Camilla might not be as close with Prince Charles’ grandchildren in the same way that she is close with own, reports have said that she is takes her role as a grandmother seriously to everyone in the royal family.
