Royal Family News: Camilla Parker Bowles Claims Prince Philip Is In Pain, “Slightly Improving”

British royal family news divulges that Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall has broken the veil of secrecy surrounding Prince Philip’s health after two weeks of hospitalization.

According to Prince Charles’ wife, the royal family is keeping, “fingers crossed,” for 99-year old Prince Philip.

Camilla made the comments today while on a royal visit to a COVID-19 vaccination center in Croydon, South London. According to ITV news she said that the Duke of Edinburgh is “slightly improving” but he “hurts at moments.”

On Monday Philip was moved to St. Bartholomew’s Hospital in London to treat a pre-existing heart condition and continued treatment for an infection. A Buckingham Palace statement at that time said that Philp was, “responding to treatment.”

The statement also said: “Doctors will continue to treat him for an infection, as well as undertake testing and observation for a pre-existing heart condition.”

“The Duke remains comfortable and is responding to treatment but is expected to remain in hospital until at least the end of the week.”

Royal Family News – Camilla Gives An Update On Prince Philip

On Feb. 23, Philip’s youngest son, Prince Edward, told Sky News that his father was doing, “a lot better. As far as I’m aware, well I did speak to him the other day, so he’s a lot better thank you very much indeed, and he’s looking forward to getting out, which is the most positive thing.”

“So, we keep our fingers crossed.”  Prior to that Prince William spoke about his grandfather to royal photographer Arthur Edwards, who asked how Philip was.  “He’s okay,” said William. “They’re keeping an eye on him.”  So far Prince Charles is the only member of the royal family to have visited Philip in the hospital.

On Feb. 20 Charles arrived at the King Edward VII Hospital and entered the rear of the facility alongside security personnel.

Meanwhile Queen Elizabeth has been keeping a stiff upper lip by continuing her royal schedule amid her husband’s hospital stay.

Last week she had a virtual meeting with the Governor of South Australia, His Excellency the Hon. Hieu Van Le, and the Premier of South Australia, Hon. Steven Marshall MP. They spoke about the COVID-19 pandemic and how South Australia has recovered from the drought and bushfires of early 2020.
