Prince Harry’s Invictus Games Receives Generous Donation From Prince William And Kate Middleton

Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton has recently shown that they hold no grudges whatsoever against the Sussex couple, even after the duo made various allegations against the royal family – at least not when goodwill and charity are involved.

Prince William and Kate’s donation boosted the Invictus Games to its best year ever, thanks to their generous £560,000 donation.

The Invictus Games is Harry’s passion project to make a positive impact on the lives of injured ex-servicemen and women.

Harry, who is a former military man himself, created the foundation in 2014 as a way to benefit military personnels who were sadly injured serving their country.

The huge transfer of £560,984 from the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge means that Invictus could boast an income of £1.77 million last year in newly published accounts. It’s a big change from 2019’s £1.06 million.

“Prince William and Catherine always supported Harry’s efforts to establish Invictus,” a courtier reported. “They are delighted that it has been a success.”

The Royal Foundation, originally known as the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry, back in the days when the brothers were very close, was set up in 2009. Their wives were later added to the title of the charity.

After Meghan’s move to Britain in 2017, people hoped that the quartet (dubbed the fab four) will continue to raise funds for good causes and positively impact lives.

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Archewell Foundation

However, just two years after Harry and Meghan’s 2018 wedding, the pair announced that they were stepping down as senior members of the royal family to become financially independent.

Formerly, they had also separated their foundation from Prince William and Kate Middleton’s, calling their new foundation Sussex Royal.

After the Queen banned them from using the word royal in their engagements, the foundation underwent a name change and became the Archewell Foundation.

Reportedly, setting up the Archewell Foundation in America, where they now base with their two young children, is not going according to plan, but the Sussex pair are looking forward to a better and bigger future.
