Kim Kardashian Reveals How Kanye’s ‘MAGA’ Hat Affected Her

In an interview, Kim Kardashian West dished on how Kanye’s MAGA hat made her “nervous.”

During a recent podcast interview with Bari Weiss, formerly of the New York Times, Kardashian revealed that when she saw her husband Kanya West, known as “Ye,” wear the red “Make America Great Again” cap she had a decidedly negative reaction.

In a Thanksgiving Day Instagram video where West claims to take “accountability” for his actions and reveals that all he thinks about every day is “how I get my family back together” and “heal the pain that I have caused,” the rapper revealed that his decision to wear the MAGA hat made his wife “very nervous.”

Kim Kardashian’s ‘Not A Rule Breaker’

In the interview with Bari Weiss, the socialite and TV personality said that she didn’t want Kanye to wear the red hat, adding that she’s “not a rule breaker” so if someone asked her to remove the hat, she would be like, “OK, you guys don’t like the red hat? I’ll take it off.”

The stylist went on to explain that other people that were there didn’t like it either and that West decided he would rather not go on stage “because he wanted to be who he is.”

Normally very neutral, the television personality said that on that night, she was having none of it and told the rapper to take the hat off.

Kardashian West went on to explain that she would do things differently now if she had it to do over again.

Kim Kardashian Feels Different Now

Wistfully looking back Kardashian West said she thought, “why should he take it off if that’s what he believes in?” She explained that half of the country voted for Donald Trump, so other people must like him too.

She went on to add that she had learned a lot from the situation between her and her husband. “No matter what, it taught me to be a little bit more empathetic for people that just want to do what they want to do: freedom of speech!”

She said that she respected the fact that he knew exactly what he believed in and always stood by it, calling it “admirable,” saying, “even if it’s not what I agree with, or even if I would have done it differently, I think it’s commendable.”
