DOOL spoilers reveal that Kate was introduced in 1977. At that time, the character’s name was Kate Winograd and was played by Elaine Princi. The actress left in 1978 but occasionally came back for brief stints for about a year. Then, in 1993, Kate was recast with Deborah Adair. When Adair retired in April 1995, Koslow took over the role.

Koslow is the actress that is most associated with Kate, who has gone by many different last names.
