Many 90 Day Fiancé fans initially believed Yara Zaya was appearing on reality TV for the first time. However, Jovi’s beautiful partner has an extensive reality TV history. Clips from those shows admittedly show Yara looking much different. However, despite this controversy, the appearances clearly show Zaya’s transformation into the woman she is today.

Fans believe that Yara has had extensive plastic surgery and this is now clear from her former appearances on reality TV. A number of Reddit fans uncovered the fact that her Ukrainian name is actually “Yaroslava.” Those fans played private detective to find out more about the 90 Day Fiancé cast member and her reality TV history.

Yara, 25, moved to America on season 8 of the TLC reality show to start her new life with Yovi Dufren. However, a much younger Zaya looked very different in her various appearances. These days, the cast member has more confidence and is standing up for herself, especially against Jovi’s parents. She has also started her own fashion business. However, back in 2014, Yara seemed much more vulnerable and when watching the old footage, fans really started talking about her.

Yara was only 19 when she appeared on this reality TV show. In the clip, she mentions that she is a “big party girl” who loved nightclubs – much like Jovi does these days. She admitted to loving rich men, preferably foreign. A voiceover on the clip notes that Yara’s mother is a baker from Zakarpattya, while her father is a successful businessman from Hungary.

On that show, Zaya admits that her parents’ divorce left her traumatized. She had traveled to Kyiv looking for love with foreign men, whom she considered better and smarter than Ukrainian men.

TLC 90 Day Fiancé – In Love Online

Around a year later, Zaya appeared on a dating show called In Love Online. While the show was similar to 90 Day Fiancé, Yara’s new brunette look was very different. She also seems to have a different nose shape, while dating a Russian man called Raphael, living in Barcelona. On that show, Yara was described her as a waitress, seamstress and administrator. She flew to Barcelona to spend three days with Raphael, but they broke up in the end.

One ironic touch from that show was that Yara was seen to drink whisky in the daytime – something she called out Jovi for doing on 90 Day Fiancé. However, even more controversial is the fact that Yara admits to having a nose job, something she has constantly denied on the TLC reality show.

TLC 90 Day Fiancé – Yara Zaya On Who Is Against Blondes?

A more recent reality TV appearance for Yara was a game show, Who is Against Blondes? The show aired in May 2020, at a time when Zaya was already living in the US with Jovi. This time, Yara herself shared a video of her appearance on the show to her Instagram.

In her caption, Yara said the shoot for the show was “the most idiotic and long-lasting” and added that she didn’t really want to participate. However, she had already signed the contracts, so had no choice.
