GH Spoilers: Ned Earns Olivia’s Trust Again, Crisis Heals Fractured Marriage

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Leo Falconeri (Easton Rocket Sweda) gets a diagnosis of autism. Even though Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) pushed back against the evaluation, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) didn’t give up. It could have divided the couple forever, but it is Ned’s commitment to Leo that proved Olivia could trust him again.

General Hospital Spoilers – Austin Gatlin-Holt’s Concern

GH spoilers reveal that Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) was the first one to suspect a neurological disorder with Leo. Austin mentioned to Olivia and Ned that they should get him evaluated. What complicated the situation was Austin’s lawsuit. While Ned did start to pay more attention to Leo’s mannerisms and if he responded to certain stimuli, Olivia was in serious denial.

Even though an evaluation doesn’t mean a child will get diagnosed with anything, Olivia wasn’t even willing to take the chance. Olivia pushed back really hard and wouldn’t listen to anyone. Despite Olivia’s hard stance and determination to convince everyone that Leo was fine, Ned didn’t give up.

General Hospital Spoilers – Ned Quartermaine Never Gave Up

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Ned and Olivia were already going through issues in their marriage. So, the easy thing for Ned to do would have been to just agree with Olivia. However, he didn’t do that because he truly was concerned about Leo and wanted the best for Olivia’s son.

Eventually, Olivia wasn’t able to deny the truth anymore and went ahead with Leo’s evaluation. Leo is diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum, which is devastating for Olivia. As for Ned, he’s had more time to adjust to the possibility. Despite the diagnosis, which could tear a couple apart, it seems to bring Ned and Olivia together.

GH Spoilers- Trust Earned Back

Ned’s commitment to Leo, even though it infuriated Olivia, is what earns her trust back. Actress Lisa LoCicero explained the storyline in the new issue of Soap Opera Digest.

“… she’s worried, worried she won’t be able to provide her son what he needs, the things that will give him the best life possible. She doesn’t know what’s coming down the pike; it’s a mystery that involves one of the things she loves most in the world… His [Ned’s] commitment to Leo means so much to her. The way that he stood up to her in support of Leo really made her feel like he was a guy that she could trust again.”
