George Clooney Gets In Trouble With Wife Over His ER Character Dr. Doug Ross

George Clooney It’s a big day for the Clooney family as Amal Clooney, wife to George Clooney, finally decides to watch ER for the first time ever. The star of Ocean’s Eleven and Ocean’s Twelve revealed that his wife was not happy with his onscreen character Dr. Doug Ross, and fans of the show shouldn’t win a prize for guessing why.

George Clooney News – All About ER

ER rapidly became a huge hit when it premiered in1994 and ran for 16 fantastic seasons. Clooney departed from the series as a main character in 1999, but the last we saw of the character came almost ten years later in 2009. The role earned him two Emmy nominations for his role as Dr. Doug Ross, the handsome manipulative ladies’ man of the show.

In the movie, Doug Ross was raised by his mother Sarah, after the family was abandoned by his father, Ray. He has two daughters with Carol Hathaway, and has been noted in one episode to reveal to Nurse Wendy Goldman that he has a son whom he’s never seen and doesn’t know his name.

Ross is infamous in the show for his womanizing ways, as he dates and leaves many women throughout the course of the show. Perhaps the most memorable, and the one that made him have a change of heart, was when he had a one-night stand with an epileptic woman who hides her condition and later dies in ER. Ross was only able to learn her name after she died. He stops dating for a while following that incident, and later gets back with Carol Hathaway, the head nurse of the ER at county.

George Clooney News – Amal Clooney’s Reaction To George’s Character In The Show

According to George Clooney, his wife Amal has started watching ER and it seems that George has a lot of explaining to do, for the sake of Doug Ross.

During the March 8 episode of the SmartLess podcast, George Clooney said that his wife had just started binging on the movie.

“My wife is watching them now,” he explained to hosts Sean Hayes, Will Arnett and Jason Bateman, “and it’s getting me in a lot of trouble because I’d forgotten all of the terrible things he was doing picking on women.”

George Clooney would have a lot of explaining to do on behalf of Doug Ross then, as Ross is currently missing in action. It seems that not even Doug Ross’s intense love for children and selfless acts, putting his patients first before his job, rescuing kids in a rainstorm, standing up to abusive parents and all, would serve to exonerate him from the aforementioned grievous offences.
