Benard posted a black and white pic of him in shades on Twitter with these words written across the image: “For those of you who think I’m not on the show because of Covid or a movie Not True.”

Well, that is clear as mud! Actually, it does clear things up a bit for those who cannot wait to see more of Sonny and for him to resume his old life. For the time being Sonny is not seen as much as he used to be, and he is hanging out with his amnesia in Nixon Falls, a town that time seemed to have forgotten. Do they have tv there? Why does no one recognize the most infamous mobster on the East Coast?

He captioned the pic, “Love you guys.” While he doesn’t say precisely why we aren’t seeing much of him these days, we know it isn’t because of Covid or him being off filming a movie.

Another fan wrote, “Is your absence the reason the storyline has been dragged out? We need Sonny back asap!”

One fan had this suggestion: “They should keep Rif Hutton & Joyce Guy on the show. Bring Lenny & Phyllis to Port Charles. Sonny needs to get back to his family. Nina’s next storyline should be Nelle’s return from the “dead.” This amnesia/Nixon Falls storyline needs to end.”

Another thinks, “So Mike n Nina will fall for each other. Then Mike/Sonny won’t remember Carly when they see each other.”
