General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Who Will Get Alexis To Stop Drinking – Is Valentin Her Only Hope?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that in Port Charles, NY Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is on a dangerous path. As GH viewers know, Alexis took to drinking again after Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) passed away and it was revealed that Neil was a drug user. Alexis couldn’t fathom how she didn’t know about Neil’s drug use, and she turned to the bottle to cope with her immense feelings of grief.

Well, Alexis has kept on drinking, and it’s caused big problems between her and her daughters. Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) has turned on Alexis, and now Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) has basically done the same thing. Even Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) refused to bail Alexis out of jail after she supposedly drove drunk, although GH viewers know that this was a big setup by Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot).

It seems that Alexis just won’t stop drinking despite the consequences, and recent events may make the situation even more dire than it was before. As GH viewers know, Alexis found out about Julian Jerome’s (William deVry) death in the worst way possible – by reading about it in the news. Alexis was horrified, and we can only imagine that this led to more drinking afterwards.

General Hospital Spoilers- Alexis Davis Should Stop Drinking

GH spoilers say that Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will be the next friend of Alexis’ to take a stab at getting her to quit. Finn and Alexis have frequently attended AA meetings in the past together, and they’ve been a good source of sober support for each other. It looks like Finn will try to reach out and help Alexis stop drinking, but that his attempt will fall flat, as Alexis will seem hell-bent on continuing to cope by abusing alcohol.

But there is one person who might be able to help Alexis – Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Valentin seems to really care about Alexis, and he seems to take a different approach with her than everyone else does. While Sam, Molly, and Diane take a more punitive approach with Alexis, threatening her with not seeing her grandchildren and basically saying that they’ll cut her out of their lives, Valentin is more accepting of Alexis for who she is.

Might we see Valentin step in and have some success in getting Alexis to re-evaluate her drinking situation? Ongoing GH spoilers say that Valentin will step in to help Alexis with something, so he might just give Alexis the food for thought that she needs to want to get help. It seems clear at this point that Alexis needs rehab to get back on track, so perhaps Valentin will find a way to get Alexis to agree to that on her own.

We’ll see what happens here, but we suspect that if anyone is going to get through to Alexis, it’s probably going to be Valentin. Do you think Valentin will step up and help Alexis?
