GH spoilers reveal that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) made a deal with Cyrus. His intention was to keep Alexis safe during her prison sentence. He thought he was doing the right thing but as viewers know, it was the wrong decision. Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) tried to stop him but in the end, they lost their only leverage. Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) also tried but she wasn’t able to change Nikolas’ mind.

Cyrus has his mother back but there is nothing stopping him from giving and taking Alexis’ protection away. Just like he was warned by so many, Cyrus will continue to use Alexis as a way to get Nikolas to complete additional tasks. Plus, we have that tense post-family dinner chat. Cyrus left and wasn’t too pleased with Ava and Laura, but Nikolas also had something to say. That could come back to haunt them if he decides to use Alexis as a way to send a message.

Now she gets to work in the library, which is a pretty cushy job in prison. She also is getting it very early in her sentence, which might not sit well with the other prisoners. She was informed that getting special treatment and perks can actually make her more of a target.

Alexis knows that in order to survive, she has to be useful to the other inmates. That way, it increases the chances of her living through the prison sentence. She was a lawyer, which actually is a pretty useful skill in prison.

It’s one thing to call the shots from the outside but the real power comes from within the bars.
