General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will visit Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) grave in an upcoming episode of General Hospital. General Hospital rumors hint they will talk to him about his father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) who is presumed dead.

General Hospital Spoilers – Father And Son Share Similarities In Their Disappearances

Longtime General Hospital viewers will remember that Sonny and Morgan shared some similarities in their disappearances. Not much was found to confirm their deaths, for one thing. With Sonny, it was his St. Christopher medal. With Morgan, it was his cellphone. Both fell into a river; Sonny, when a bridge collapsed under him as he had just killed Julian Jerome, (William DeVry), Morgan, blown up in Julian’s car with a bomb some suspected Sonny placed. In Morgan’s case some remains were found but they were unable to confirm for sure they were him. Both were strong swimmers, but as far as anyone in the Corinthos family knows, neither ever made it out of those rivers.

According to General Hospital spoilers and rumors, Carly and Josslyn both are struck with the similarities around their disappearances and presumed deaths. It took Carly years to accept that Morgan was dead at all, and now she has to bury Sonny without a body, and without closure, as well.

GH recaps reveal Josslyn was much younger when Morgan died, but for her, the losses are compounded; first Morgan, then Oscar Nero, (Garren Stitt) his father Drew Cain (Billy Miller) who also disappeared without a trace, Mike Corbin, (Max Gail) Dev Cerci, (Ashton Arbab) her teacher Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson) and now her stepfather Sonny! Carly felt many of those same losses as well. Now, likely next to Morgan’s grave, they will have a memorial stone for Sonny.

GH Spoilers & Rumors – How Can One Grieve And Have Closure With No Body?

General Hospital viewers will recall that Carly has had to have Sonny declared dead so that the Five Families would not retaliate and take away his territory. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has to officially take it over, and he cannot as long as there are questions about Sonny’s survival. For this “death” to be taken seriously, there has to be a funeral whether there is actually a body or not! Usually it takes much longer for a person to be declared dead than a matter of months, but it can be done more quickly if extenuating circumstances can be proven.

Perhaps the fact that no body has been found after extensive searches is enough. But then, this is not real life either – this is a soap opera storyline! Probably after the funeral, which is actually a memorial service, Carly and Josslyn will stay behind after everyone else leaves.

General Hospital updates and spoilers show Carly especially will need to “talk to” Morgan, and Josslyn will stay with her mother for support. Perhaps Carly will ask Morgan to tell his father to give her a sign of some sort so that she can “know” he is really gone. Perhaps an owl will hoot, or a wind may blow, or Carly will see a shooting star in the sky. Carly will take anything as a sign to have peace and closure over Sonny!
