Someone in Port Charles besides Drew Cain (Billy Miller) finally decided that having family with children and keeping them safe was more important than being part of Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) coffee business, but that Corinthos Coffee pull keeps luring people back in and just cause Brando walked away doesn’t mean he won’t go back.

If he doesn’t go back, it looks like Sasha and Brando’s story has been wrapped up neatly in a little bow. What angst is there? What story is there except to happily have a baby and maybe even get married one day? Do Sasha and Brando need more? Do you want to see them more? There was potential to tell a whole love story here before Sofia Mattsson got pregnant and GH decided to write the pregnancy in when she was already showing, so Brando and Sasha seem a bit rushed? However, they are two interesting characters who maybe should be given more to do.

Then there’s the case for Sasha and Brando not even being necessary on the Port Charles canvas. Neither character has any real ties to the canvas. Brando is the cousin Sonny never knew who oddly has the last name Mike adopted when he had gambling debts and Sasha was hired by Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) to pose as Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) daughter and is related to nobody else in Port Charles.

If Sasha had been left with Michael (Chad Duell) and Brando had truly embarked on a romance with Molly (Haley Pullos), creating a triangle with TJ (Tajh Bellow), there would have been more conflict for the two characters. Instead, they are just random characters thrown together who look like they are about to get their happily-ever-after.
