With everything that has been going on in Dante’s life – including the drama he’s now having to deal with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) – he decides that now would be the best time for a medical emergency intervention with the one and only Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom). Because if Kevin can’t save him, then who can? There is just so much to unload when it comes to Dante.
Dom Zamprogna, who plays Dante on the hit ABC soap, admits that the ‘pen’ is most definitely his character’s biggest foe at the moment. He says, “He’s been brainwashed and hypnotized by Dr. Obrecht, so that’s not good. And not just that, but he’s taken a lot of hits with people close to him, and it’s a lot all at once.”
For Dante, it’s been tough knowing that both Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) are presumed to be dead. Dom continues, “I have made a conscious choice to play him pretty disturbed, but I think he is holding on to hope in both cases and I also think that, deep down, he is a very good person.”
Whether Dante emerges unscathed or not, remains to be seen. Either way, Dom adds that he’s had a fun time playing this very ‘dark’ side to his character. Of course, fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next. General Hospital airs weekdays on the ABC network. Check your local listings for times.
