General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Dante Programmed To Protect Franco, Will He Have A Face-off With Jason?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that in Port Charles, NY a scenario could arise in a future General Hospital episode where Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) could wind up in a showdown over Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth)! Dante has been programmed to protect Franco, and Franco has asked Jason to kill him if he turned back into the evil Franco!

General Hospital Spoilers – Liesl Obrecht Amended Dante Falconeri’s Mission

General Hospital viewers will recall that after the accidental death of Dr. Warren Kirk (Jameson Jones) caused by Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) defending Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) honor, she took over Franco’s treatment. When she found out that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) had published an article in The Invader about Franco’s brain tumor coming back and his possible return to serial killing, she programmed Dante to protect Franco!

That programming came into play in a recent General Hospital episode, with Dante getting in the way of a lidocaine filled syringe in the hand of a charging Alexis Davis, (Nancy Lee Grahn) trying to protect Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) from Franco! Alexis had totally misunderstood the situation, seeing Franco nearly collapse and Sam reaching out, along with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) trying to keep him from falling. She had snuck into an examining room at General Hospital to sneak a drink and the syringe was a weapon of opportunity. Meanwhile, Franco, worried that a new brain tumor would have the same effect on him as the old one, namely, turning him into a mind game playing serial killer, had asked Jason for a favor. Jason didn’t say yes, but he didn’t say no either. Franco wanted Jason to promise that he would kill him if he saw him becoming dangerous!

GH Spoilers – What If Franco Baldwin Becomes Dangerous And Both Dante Falconeri And Jason Morgan See It?

General Hospital spoilers ask, what if Franco were to become dangerous and both Dante and Jason were nearby to see it? As proven by the situation Alexis got herself into by assuming Franco was dangerous, Jason would make sure that Franco was actually a threat before he would take action. But if Franco truly were to be a threat – say, he had a memory of Drew Cain (Billy Miller) when he was being tortured on Cassadine Island and tried to fight back and he went for an innocent bystander, then Jason absolutely would act. Would he shoot to kill? Perhaps not – he hates Franco, but he would be more likely to shoot to disable if Franco were not armed. Besides, he could put the innocent bystander in the position Dante was and the bystander could be injured or killed.

No one would want that! Besides, Liz might kill him if he killed or hurt Franco! Dante, on the other hand would not think before he rushed in to protect Franco from Jason, because he has been programmed! If he had not, he likely would have gone for Alexis’s hand and tried to get her to drop the syringe! But because Dante’s programming will kick in if he sees Jason going for Franco in a threatening manner or one he perceives as a threatening manner, there quite likely could be a showdown between Dante and Jason over Franco!
