General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Carly Defends Keeping Nina Away From Wiley, Determined To Save Grandson

General Hospital Spoilers – Carly Corinthos Fears Nina Reeves Will Teach Wiley Corinthos Who His Birth Mother Was

General Hospital viewers will remember that Wiley Corinthos’ (Erik and Theodore Olson) birth mother was Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) who has recently been revealed as Nina’s birth daughter. Carly is fearful that if Nina spends time with Wiley, she will teach him about Nelle and that she was his birth mother. Carly cannot abide that, if she could, she would erase the memory of Nelle from the face of the earth; she was even livid that Nina gave Nelle a proper burial with a grave marker! Nina still doesn’t believe that Carly didn’t desecrate Nelle’s grave by breaking down the marker on purpose; as viewers will recall, Carly had a hallucination that Nelle was trying to pull her into the grave and she was trying to defend herself.

But then the point could be argued that if Carly didn’t hold guilt for Nelle’s death, she would not have had that frightening vision to begin with! Carly also believes that Nina has no experience with children – even though she was Charlotte Cassadine’s (Scarlett Fernandez) stepmother for several years! She allowed for her son Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Wiley’s adoptive mother Willow Tait (Katelyn McMullen) to let Nina spend some time with Wiley, but that quickly came to an end. Nina had done so out of honesty, but confused Wiley by explaining that she was his grandmother but Willow was not her daughter, leading Wiley to the conclusion that Willow wasn’t his mother. She is not his birth mother but she is his adoptive mother, a concept that Wiley is too young to understand!

GH Spoilers – Carly Corinthos Feels That A Restraining Order Against Nina Reeves May Be In Order

Carly remembers back five or six years ago when Nina had put Ava Cassadine (Maura West) into labor and then kidnapped Avery Corinthos-Jerome (Ava and Grace Scarola) and took her to Canada! Carly fears that Nina may kidnap Wiley! Because of this in her past and her finding out Nelle was her daughter, and her blaming Carly for Nelle’s death, Carly thinks this could be a very real possibility! Plus, she feels that Nina will try to recreate her lost years with Nelle with Wiley, and that would not be in Wiley’s best interests!

Nina is way too Nelle-focused for her to be safe around Wiley, and that is what Carly will argue if visitation or custody comes to court. Carly has already gotten Willow and Michael on board with not allowing Nina to visit Wiley or care for him, they saw how confused he was after she left that last time! Carly also sees a pattern in Nina’s family – her mother, Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills) was a manipulative murderer, and her aunt is Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), a criminal! This is what Carly will say to drive the point home that Nina is not safe with children, nor would she ever be!
