Showing off her dramatic hair transformation, Watson was spotted comfortably dressed in a gray sweatshirt, black joggers, sandals, and a black mask with her streaky dark-blonde hair chopped off to a chin-length bob in a chic style that’s shorter than she’s had it in years.

Though no stranger to the bob club, having famously had a pixie cut when she was 20 just after wrapping up the Harry Potter series, the Little Women actress has been wearing her hair longer for years before this new spring cut.

Not Her First Time Going For A Drastic Chop

Back in 2010, she had spoken to Metro UK of her experimental cut, “I didn’t get to experiment with dyeing and chopping off my hair like most teenagers. I also felt, right, I’m 20, I’m not a little girl any more. I’d been on Harry Potter for ten years so I needed to mark the end of it in some way. I needed a drastic change and that’s what the crop was all about.”

Watson who has always kept up with fashion and style trends has maintained a very low profile over the last year, with rumours that she was retiring from acting recently making the rounds. The rumours were promptly debunked by her manager Jason Weinberg who said, “Emma’s social media accounts are dormant but her career isn’t.”

Rest Assured, Watson Isn’t Retiring From Acting Despite Rumours

This outing with her boyfriend – whom she has been dating for over a year, after being first photographed kissing in London in October 2019 – was Emma Watson’s first public sighting since the rumours. Though she’s been quiet about her projects on social media, the prolific actress is continuing to work ; whether this new hairstyle is for an upcoming role or simply her own preference is unknown but it’s a very cute and very welcome change!
