Since its first airing on TLC on January 12, 2014, the 90 Day Fiancé universe has continued to grow with what feels like endless spinoffs. Now, discovery+ is getting into the same theme after they ordered a new spinoff, 90 Day: Foody Call. This one is set in the kitchen, where cast members dish up traditional meals from their own countries.
TLC – 90 Day Fiancé – Foody Call
A new spinoff in the 90 Day Fiancé universe has been ordered by discovery+ and will feature popular couples from the franchise. The cast members will invite viewers into their kitchens where they will cook up a storm while revealing recipes perfect for relationship success. Each recipe will be a traditional meal from the couple’s home country.
Set to launch on May 29, 90 Day Fiancé fans can expect couples like David and Annie, Tania and Syngin, Russ and Pao, Robert and Anny, Loren and Alexei, and Sasha and Emily. However, 90 Day: Foody Call won’t only be about delicious food.
Besides cooking up authentic meals, viewers will put the stars in the hot seat with various questions. Examples to expect are “What is the most shocking thing you learned about your spouse’s culture?” and “What is the most awkward interaction you’ve had with each of your in-laws.” Another is “What are your favorite body parts on one another.”

Deadline recently spoke to discovery+ boss, Matt Sharp, where he told them how tricky it is to produce a show during quarantine. Sharp said, “That is a show that depends on someone else’s timeline, these are real couples, we’re not putting anyone together in that show and they’re real visas and schedules. If you put that into the context of COVID, that’s just another hurdle that you have to deal with.”
Sharp also said it took a while to sell the new show. He said they always thought it was a great concept and they pitched it for several years. According to Matt, it was one of those ideas that “sits in your bag” and he refused to take it out of the bag. Sharp added that people are ready for something “super authentic” and they can see that in the viewing pattern, particularly during the quarantine.
90 Day: Foody Call debuts on discovery+ on May 29 and new episodes will drop each Saturday. Catch the trailer for the first episode below.
