Somehow Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) managed to free Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) in record time. She had been held captive for months, but calling Marlena during a break in her possession and a clueless EJ DiMera (Daniel Feuerriegel) didn’t help her at all. Thankfully, she managed to reach Lucas and Allie Horton and it was Lucas to the rescue within just a few short episodes.

After knocking out Jason the Henchman, Sami and Lucas make a run for it and Sami heads straight to the DiMera mansion to see if she can work things out with EJ. He was so furious at her for having that affair with Lucas and for exposing Nicole Walker’s (Arianne Zucker) affair with Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) that he kicked her out and told her never to return. EJ and Nicole have been getting along famously of late and it’s quite clear he wants her and to forget all about Samantha.
