Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) has caused quite a bit of turmoil in the Devereaux household. First, Gwen made it her mission to destroy the life of Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller). When drugging Abigail didn’t work, DOOL recaps reveal Gwen set about to destroy Abigail’s marriage to Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). Gwen managed to sleep with Chad on New Years Eve but that was only the beginning.

When Gwen finally revealed why she hated Abigail and her family so much, it came as a shock to everyone involved. Gwen is actually Jack’s daughter. Laura Horton (Jamie Lyn Bauer) paid off Gwen’s mother to keep quiet about Gwen. This eventually led to a confrontation between Gwen and Laura on Days of Our Lives. Sadly, Laura died during this confrontation when she tried to pull away from Gwen. She lost her balance and hit her head on the bedpost, killing her instantly.

News of Laura’s death hit her daughter, Jennifer Horton (Cady McLain) especially hard. After Laura is laid to rest, look for Jennifer to skip Salem. She will go to Boston to help put her mother’s affairs in order. This may take a little bit of time, but will Jennifer return after takes care of her mother’s business? She may just decide to stay away from Salem for the time being. She may even question if loving Jack Devereaux (Matthew Ashford) comes at too high a price.

Even since Gwen came into their lives, there has been nothing but pain. Days of Our Lives spoilers show Gwen almost broke up Jack and Jennifer for good when she revealed that Jack had slept with Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) during the year that Jennifer was in a coma. Jennifer eventually forgave Jack but with the news of Gwen’s true parentage and now with Laura’s death, Jennifer has quite a bit to work through. She loves Jack, there’s no doubt about that but how many people need to suffer in the name of that love?
