Chanel (Raven Bowens) definitely needed some time away after learning her mother had been lying to her for her entire life. She wasn’t her mother’s only child and Lani Price (Sal Stowers) wasn’t her cousin. Instead, she was Paulina Price’s (Jackee Harry) first-born daughter and therefore Chanel’s half-sister. Chanel could barely deal with this information overload but at least she had Johnny (Carson Boatman) there to comfort her — and take her away from it all.

But now the two are back in Salem and head straight for the DiMera mansion where they can’t wait to share their news. They’re married. Yes, they wed in Europe and couldn’t be happier. How will his parents — EJ DiMera (Daniel Feuerriegel) and Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) — feel about this? Let us just guess that they are going to be furious, declare he is too young, and declare he barely knows this woman. Fireworks are sure to ensue.

They also interrupt Johnny’s parents, as EJ and Sami share a close moment. Will there be a crack in EJ’s veneer meaning he will forgive Sami and take her back? That’s certainly what his own mother, Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) wants.

Will Paulina finally be able to get through to Lani for the holidays? After all, it is the holidays and it’s a time for family and Paulina is Lani’s mother, after all. Still, Lani might remain cold to Paulina for quite a while because her lie is probably the biggest one Lani has ever had to forgive in her life.
