Since Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) is so desperate to “save” her daughter, the two schemers make her a deal. However, Xander and Chanel could be in for a surprise when Paulina nixes the payout.

DOOL spoilers reveal that Chanel will do anything to have access to the kind of lifestyle she’s used to. Her mother suddenly cut her off financially and Chanel refuses to get a job. She has tried scamming others in the past, so it’s reasonable to assume she’s also scamming Xander. Once she saw his business card, she thought she won the lottery. However, she has no idea that Xander is no longer the CEO of Titan. He no longer has a job period. He no longer has a place to live and barely has enough to pay for his room at the Salem Inn.

It is highly unlikely that anyone would marry Xander in the condition that he’s in. If someone is that drunk during the ceremony, it actually makes the marriage invalid. So, we have to assume that Chanel is making up being married.

Once Xander finds out the truth, he will want to get rid of her. She brought not only her overbearing mother to his door but Salem police detective. However, Chanel and Xander realize they are a lot alike. They have both lost everything and figure if they work together, they can both win in this situation.

However, it becomes more urgent once Abe Carver (James Reynolds) fills her in on Xander’s past. Thinking Chanel is married to a monster, Paulina just might be willing to pay for Chanel’s safe release. However, there could be twist to this story.

However, Paulina didn’t get to be a powerful and rich woman by being a fool. She will do her research and discover there is no legal marriage between Xander and Chanel. Once she learns that they are both broke and unemployed, Paulina could connect the dots. When Xander and Chanel meet Paulina to get their multi-million dollar payout, they could be disappointed to find out they are the ones being scammed.
