Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) may have gotten her mother’s favorite pie mixed up with her Aunt Tamara’s (Marilyn McCoo) favorite pie, but the pecan pie is on reserve so that Abe (James Reynolds) can create the perfect proposal atmosphere.

Abe Carver finally found a new woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with and is not about to pass up his chance. When Chanel finally leaves, he gets down on one knee and proposes to Paulina (Jackee Harry).

However, Paulina is keeping a big secret from this man she has fallen in love with. He is not Lani’s father and Tamara is not her mother. Paulina is her mother and Lani (Sal Stowers) is the product of her marriage with an abusive man she had to get away from. Will this prevent Paulina from agreeing to marry Abe?
