Sami (Alison Sweeney) and Lucas (Bryan R. Dattilo) should have known they’d both find themselves down in the DiMera tunnels if they didn’t do what Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) wanted. But they didn’t expect Xander (Paul Telfer) to show up to kill them — and Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin). They were trying their best to get out while giving in to fits of passion and the next thing they know an assassin arrives.

The assassin happens to be Xander and he’s not particularly keen on killing them but he needs the money, so what’s a brokenhearted, frequently drunk man to do? Take the best offer, right? And Sami drives a hard bargain as she convinces Xander to be her hired assassin and not Kristen’s. Hey, wherever the money comes from is good with Xander. And Sami definitely has plenty of money to spare.

Meanwhile, Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Marlena (Deidre Hall) begin to notice that Chloe disappeared. She had been right there at Brady’s side through all of this and now Brady only has Marlena by his side in the hospital. Could something have happened to Chloe? Brady realizes Kristen has to be behind this mess and starts to fear for Chloe’s life.
