Stephen shared a new post on his Instagram account, hinting that Covid-19 might have thrown the show a curveball this past year, as no one knew what the future held for the beloved series. Sharing a video of Stephen and Days of Our Lives Executive Producer Ken Corday with their arms wrapped around each other’s shoulders, Stephen captioned his post with, “Our fearless leader, Ken Corday, gave an eloquent speech as he shared news of our two-year renewal. We are all uplifted and in a good place. After more than a year of COVID, the news of a two-year pick-up was music to our ears. This one for you, Ken!”

He also added, “Also, that’s our beloved Executive Producer Albert Alarr who took this video and it’s his voice saying 57… 58!”

Of course, it didn’t take very long for Stephen’s fans and followers to comment on the post. Many of them wrote, “This is the greatest news. I only hope it’s followed with the announcement that Melissa Reeves is coming back too!!” along with, “I’ve been watching Days of Our Lives for as long as I can remember. My mother used to watch this show every day. I’m so happy to hear that Days has been renewed for another two years. I’m looking forward to seeing more new episodes.”
