Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers say that while Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) and Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) know that they should be together, both physically and emotionally, they know there is one obstacle that they must overcome first: and that is trying to get Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) out of the picture. According to the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, Days of Our Lives Head Writer Ron Carlivati shares his big plans to DOOL fans. And from what we can gather so far, Salem is going to see one surprise after another. In fact, things are going to take quite an interesting turn in the coming weeks.

Carlivati says that while Jake and Gabi are still proving to be one of the most popular couples in all of Salem, there’s still a lot of work that needs to be done. And because nothing can be too complicated in this fictional town of Salem, there is going to be one more person that is going to play a very important role in this storyline: Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson). But how Gabi plans on using him to her advantage (or even her disadvantage) remains to be seen. Either way, she’s not going to let this opportunity slip away from her, especially since she is so close to getting what she wants, and that’s Jake back in her arms.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: What Will Gabi Do Next?

He tells the publication in a new interview, “I always thought an interesting fourth element, making it a quadruple would be Phillip Kiriakis. He’s floating around out there, he is Kate’s son, and it seemed logical to put him in the story – and it seems like an opportunity for Gabi to get under Jake and Kate’s skin.”
