John (Drake Hogestyn) has been the only one in a panic about Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) making a movie about when Marlena (Deidre Hall) was possessed by The Devil all those decades ago. He’s sure this movie can open the portal to Satanic possession once again. He’s also been noticing that Marlena is not quite herself and has not been able to put his finger on things.

Now that Marlena has agreed to work on the movie, John is more suspicious than ever. Learning that Marlena also made sure Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) can’t see Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) at Bayview throws things over the top for John. Maybe The Devil is already there and Marlena is possessed again. Maybe he was too late in his quest to stop everything.

John decides to confront Marlena, but he does not get the answers he wants or expects. Will The Devil manage to elude him?
