Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Days of Our Lives Head Writer Ron Carlivati previews what’s next for some of our favorite residents of this fictional town of Salem. And from what we can tell already, there certainly won’t be a dull moment in the coming weeks. And of course, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) is going to be in the middle of it all – with or without her multiple masks.

Carlivati puts it this way, “Through her deal with Vivian, Kristen has to break up Kate and Jake, so she goes to her closet of masks and pulls out the Kate masks and thinks, ‘This is going to be simple. I’ll do the exact same thing I did to Sarah and Xander.’ But it becomes more complicated and doesn’t go like clockwork. It hits a roadblock when the real Kate shows up.”

If that weren’t enough, Kristen’s plan goes in the opposite direction. Carlivati adds, “When Kristen as Kate dumps Jack, it may lead to him reconnecting with Gabi, which is something that the audience has been waiting for.”

So, does this mean that Gabi will finally have a chance to connect with her prince charming again? Maybe. Because if there’s anything that we’ve learned about Kristen DiMera over the years, it’s that she doesn’t give up too easily. When she has a task at hand, you better believe that she is going to do everything in her power to make sure that it is done. Watch this space because Kristen’s show isn’t over yet. Ha!
