Days Of Our Lives Alum Kate Mansi Delivers Plea To Fans After Testing Positive For COVID-19

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers and updates tease that the former portrayer of Abigail Dimera, Kate Mansi, revealed that she and her husband contracted COVID-19. The actress took to social media to deliver a plea to her fans to get vaccinated.

In her Instagram stories, the actress shared that she and her husband tested positive for coronavirus. Mansi said that both of them have been fully vaccinated since May. And perhaps that’s the reason why they’re at home while recovering and not in a hospital bed.

Kate Mansi warned her followers about the danger that the Delta variant brings. She said it’s “much more contagious and twice likely to lead to hospitalization.” For those who didn’t know, the Delta variant is more dangerous to those who are not vaccinated. That’s why Mansi urged her fans to get vaccinated and stay safe.

“Please continue to wear masks and get vaccinated if you can,” she added.

“We must stop the spread of this virus. It’s the worst I’ve ever felt being sick. Please be safe everyone,” the actress continued.

Mansi has been very cautious and follows the health protocols as recommended. Even so, she still got infected, which shows the seriousness of COVID-19. The actress also shared someone’s motivational message about what it means to be human as well as a list of things that she found helpful while recovering like taking a rest.

As for Mansi’s former alter-ego, Abigail DiMera, she’s expected to return to the show. However, it’ll be portrayed by Marci Miller, who is set to make a comeback following her maternity leave.
