Chrisley Knows Best: Todd Chrisley Explains ‘Emotional Battle’ Concerning Daughter Lindsie Amid Divorce

Todd Chrisley, 53 is no stranger to sounding off and, right now is no different with all the legal troubles and emotional strain between him and his daughter Lindsie, 31.
According to ET, who spoke with the Chrisley Knows Best star and his wife Julie, 48, in his hometown of Nashville, the two give them an exclusive and transparent interview, saying, “Ask us whatever you want to ask us.”
Todd said he received the news of his daughter’s coming divorce via text message, adding that he has not spoken with her since, due to the very tenuous status of their relationship.
Todd indicated to ET that, every time he tried to communicate with his daughter, he felt his words got twisted, saying, “and in the position we’re in, we can’t run that risk.”
Chrisley Knows Best – Divorce Announcement
As readers might know, Lindsie announced her divorce from Will Campbell on July 27 via an Instagram story where she writes, “It’s with the deepest sadness that, after 9 years of marriage, Will & I have mutually decided to end our marriage.”
She went on to indicate that she was interested in focusing on the “new beginnings ahead” with “fresh space” as she moved to a new place the following week.
Chrisley Knows Best – Marriage Is Supposed To Be Forever
The interview continued with Todd explaining that he’s sad about the situation between Will and Lindsie but then adding that Lindsie made her own decisions.
He said that “Marriage is supposed to be forever” and that two people are “supposed to have a commitment.”
From his own words, it doesn’t appear that he’s comfortable with his daughter’s decision.
Chrisley Knows Best – Tax Fraud Claims
As fans may know, Todd and Julie had previously accused Lindsie of turning them into authorities over alleged tax evasion.
The couple was subsequently cleared of those charges at the state level; however, they’re still facing the 12-count federal indictment over tax fraud.
On the other side of all this, Lindsie has made claims that her father and brother have tried to blackmail her over a sex tape – an accusation her father flat out denies.
Chrisley Knows Best – She Is My Daughter And I Love Her
Todd tells ET, “She’s my daughter and I love her,” saying that he had been vengeful and angry for a long time but that God allowed him to get back into his faith and that he had to remember that he’s a father first.
Todd and Julie both indicated that they don’t believe these problems between them and Lindsie would exist were it not for the Reality TV part of their lives.
