Chris Daughtry Stepdaughter Death Update: Boyfriend Rumors Swirl Amid New Hannah Daughtry Details

Chris Daughtry continues to mourn the death of his beloved stepdaughter Hannah Daughtry, 25, amid homicide rumors. And while officials stay silent on the case, some insiders close to Hannah have shared new details about the young woman and her boyfriend. But even those updates have resulted in more questions than answers about how Hannah could have died so suddenly.

For Chris Daughtry and his family, all the answers may never heal the loss. But investigators do hope to help provide closure by understanding the events leading up to her death. Hannah’s mother also has released new details about her daughter. Find out what to know below. 

Chris Daughtry News – What To Know About Chris Daughtry’s Stepdaughter Death

Chris Daughtry and his family’s heartbreaking loss occurred last Friday, when his stepdaughter Hannah was found dead at her home, according to TMZ.  Daughtry immediately halted his concert tour as he sought to cope with the sudden death.

Although the family did not provide details, Chris’s band released the following statement: “Due to the unexpected death of Chris and Deanna Daughtry’s daughter, Hannah, all currently scheduled shows for the coming week for Daughtry have been postponed.” The band’s dates continue to remain postponed with no rescheduling updates at this time. In the statement, Chris’ group also asked for privacy for the family. 

Hannah and her 23-year-old brother Griffin are the offspring of Deanna from a previous relationship. Chris and Deanna co-parent twins Adalynn Rose and Noah James, 10. But Daughtry had been away from home touring around the United States with the band when he learned of his stepdaughter’s death.

Although 25-year-old Hannah Daughtry reportedly had been dating her boyfriend Bobby Jolly, 24, for months prior to her death, only now are details emerging about their arrest record. In April, the two reportedly got arrested for what officials called a road rage incident involving the alleged discharge of a weapon, according to the Sun. 

Prior to that arrest, Hannah’s and Bobby’s social media showed relationship problems. For instance, Hannah called a photo of Bobby “ughly,” while Bobby responded with “F**k you, how bout you hop your funky a** the f**k up off of my s**t! Sorry, not sorry….” However, at this point, Bobby reportedly has not been implicated in her death.

Instead, authorities stated that Bobby’s arrest stemmed from failure to appear in his alleged hit-and-run case. Although that warrant got filed in June, only now did it get pursued in the wake of finding Hannah had died. At this time, Bobby reportedly underwent a hearing, resulting in jail. His attorney stated that he is managing only the alleged hit-and-run case and will not comment “on any potential charges that may arise in the future in any other jurisdictions.” Bobby does not at this time face any criminal charges for Hannah’s death, per the Sun.

In the wake of the rumors, Hannah’s mother Deanna Daughtry turned to social media and shared photos. And her caption revealed new details about her daughter’s death as well as showing her love for Hannah. “My firstborn. I love you endlessly Hannah. Our family would like to thank you all for the outpouring of love as we grieve the loss of our daughter Hannah. We are awaiting the autopsy results to determine how Hannah sustained the injuries that caused her death. Our hearts are broken,” wrote Deanna. 

As for homicide rumors those result from TMZ initially reporting that officials were investigating Hanna’s death as a homicide. But the district attorney’s office denied that report, writing, “This is a death investigation and any attempt to classify it as a homicide investigation at this time is premature and irresponsible.”
