Bridgerton’s New Season 2 Photo Offers Sneak Peek Of The Sharmas

Bridgerton spoilers and updates tease that fans finally get a glimpse of the new addition to Bridgerton. Netflix released new season 2 photos featuring the Sharmas.

The streamer released a photo of the Sharmas, which include Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley), Lady Danbury (Adjoa Andoh), Mary Sharma (Shelley Conn), and Edwina Sharma (Charithra Chandran). Fans also got excited when Netflix released the first season 2 footage during its “TUDUM” global fan event that was held last Saturday.

Bridgerton Season 2 will focus on Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and his search for a bride. Aside from the new photos, Netflix also released a clip showing Anthony and Kate meet for the first time. The pair got off to a rocky start but since the entire season is about them, fans can expect to see their relationship develop into something more romantic.

Nicola Coughlan, who plays the role of Penelope Featherington, hinted that Anthony has finally met his match. Ashley’s character is described as smart and headstrong who “suffers no fools — Anthony very much included.”

Since the series is based on Julia Quinn’s books, readers know that conflict is bound to arise. Anthony is set to marry Edwina, but Kate’s meddling will turn the tables and she’ll draw Anthony closer to her instead of her younger sister.

Bridgerton is still about to premiere its second season but the TV series was already renewed for seasons 3 and 4. Not only that, Queen Charlotte, played by Golda Rosheuvel, will also have a spinoff. The prequel series, which will be penned by Shonda Rhimes, centers on Queen Charlotte’s past and her ascension to the throne.

Bridgerton’s rising star, Coughlan, described the TV series as “not your grandmother’s period drama. It’s quietly revolutionary in a lot of things that it does.” The actress admitted she had fun filming fake-out endings to season 1 to guard the show from early leaks. Meanwhile, Ashley said that everyone on the show was “genuinely kind and lovely down to earth people.”
