Then, as viewers of The Bold and The Beautiful will recall, the long-held secret that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) is Finn’s birth mother came out during their wedding, and Steffy delayed filing the marriage certificate because of it! Matt talks about Thorsten bringing his own experience as a father into the scene, where viewers of The Bold and The Beautiful will recall there was even a photo shown of Jacqui as a child – of course, representing Steffy as a child. Matt tells Soap Opera Digest that was Thorsten’s idea, although the photo must have come from Jacqui. Viewers of The Bold and The Beautiful will agree with Matt that this special touch made the scene much more real than it would have seemed to viewers otherwise, and even made it more real to those who were playing the parts onscreen!

Matt notes that Thorsten is a father of two daughters in real life, and he feels that Thorsten brought his own experience as a father as well as his heart into this scene. Matt notes that everyone was emotional during this scene as they were filming it – and it made the character of Steffy’s wedding to Finn very special in spite of previous marriage. It was like Finn was her true soulmate and they wanted to recognize that. Matt tells that he and everyone else involved had tears in their eyes because of Thorsten’s soulful portrayal!

Liam’s waffling between her and Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) mirrored her father’s own waffling between Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and her mother, Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) so one would think she’d have gotten a clue to kick Liam to the curb long ago, but it took the real Mr. Right in the form of Finn to finally put an end to that painful pattern!
