Abducted Sophie Long Found Outside The US – Micheal Long Arrested

Sophie Long, much like Gabby Petito got inside the mids of compassionate people when she disappeared. However, the difference was that when the news broke in July this year, people found out that Sophie was just 10 years old. Many people feared for her life, as she previously appeared in videos that seemed to show her being abused. Well, she’s now been found outside of the USA, and her dad, Michael Long has been arrested.

Sophie Long – Disappeared After Abuse Videos Emerged

Gabby Petito worried people a lot when she disappeared, as, during the investigation, eyewitnesses claimed that she had suffered some abuse at the hands of Brian Laundrie. Unfortunately, unlike Sophie, Gabby was found dead. She died of strangulation, and later, Brian committee suicide. Now, all that remains of her tragic story is a memorial bench erected in Nort Port Park in Gabby Petito’s memory. The Memorial Bench now sits in North Park near City Hall. Well, people who followed the story of Sophie at least need not worry about sending in donations for a memorial. She was found alive last week.

Sophie Long appeared in a video last year that was shared on YouTube. It was later removed for violating the conditions of the platform. In July, Fox News reminded people that it contained content that showed Sophie in distress. The outlet noted, “she did not want to visit with her mother, Kelly Long.” Apparently, her dad, who does not have custodial rights, accused her mom, Kelly Long of abusing the child. Well, she denied it, and no signs of abuse were found. Later, Sophie disappeared and authorities accused the father of abduction.

Sophie Long Found Outside Of The USA

On December 11, news came from Fox 4, that “the Collin County Sheriff’s Office said Sophie is now in protective custody and is set for a safe return to her family” Previously, they suspected that the little girl might have been taken to Mexico or Argentina. Well, the last report didn’t reveal which country Sophie Long was found in. However, her dad, Michael Long has been taken into custody. The outlet noted that “Michael is in custody on a felony warrant for interference with child custody. He is set to be extradited back to Collin County [in Texas].”

In July this year, YouTuber Katherine Elizabeth talked about the abduction of Sophie Long. At the time, she talked about how police looked for Michael and called for people who saw his car to report it to the authorities. She mentioned that Kelly and Michel married, and they produced three children. The custody case had been ongoing and it caught the interest of people because of the misleading abuse video. Well, Micheal lost custody, and so, he obviously decided to just take Sophie away.

Worried Folks Commented

At the time, those who followed the story of Sophie Long commented. One of them noted, “The psychologists’ report is very damning to the father. He needs help! Sophie should be with another family member while this mess is sorted out. The psychologist report said there was no evidence of abuse by the mother or her partner. I feel for Kelly.” Well, right now, Micheal Long will hopefully get all the help he needs. But, it looks like that might come from within the prison service.
