Since 90 Day Fiancé star Angela Deem first started getting her weight loss surgery and breast reduction, Michael Ilesanmi has been less than supportive. As an African man, he has always loved her excess weight and large breasts. However, finally – to use Angela’ words – Michael is stepping up to the plate. In a teaser for Sunday’s episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Ilesanmi apologizes for not supporting his wife over her surgeries.
Angela, 54, and Michael, 32, have been fighting about her surgeries all season long. Some fans have become angry at Angela for the way she yells at her husband on a regular basis. However, other fans understand where she is coming from. The pair is still living apart, with Michael in Nigeria waiting for his visa to be approved. This naturally makes things even harder for them.
In fact, their arguing got so bad, Angela visited her immigration lawyer to talk about the possibility of divorcing Michael. Meanwhile, the man himself told her he wasn’t going to apologize to her and was no longer going to let her “win” in the relationship.
However, the tide has suddenly turned. In a teaser clip for Sunday’s upcoming episode, Ilesanmi can be seen apologizing to Angela for everything he has put her through. He admits that he wasn’t there for his wife during her possibly life-threatening surgeries.
However, while she has been seeking his support all along, Angela is not easily forgiving her husband. She tells him it wasn’t that his opinion about not wanting her to get the surgeries didn’t count. However, she tells him, “I would have died, I really believe that, because I couldn’t hardly breathe with my breasts and my weight was getting bigger for no reason.”
“Michael, you need to step up to the plate or it’s time for us to separate,” she continues to say after he asks her to forgive him. He immediately says no, he doesn’t want for them to separate. She pointed out that she needs more surgery and wants to know what she can expect from him if she does this. Angela points out, “I’m going to have to have skin surgery, I’m thinking about the facelift. What’s going to change? Because I needed someone there to tell me it’s gonna be OK.”
Meanwhile, Michael explains that it is hard for him to understand what she is going through over the phone. However, he did finally acknowledge that the surgeries have made her look “healthy, young and sexy and beautiful.”
In his confessional, Michael says that after talking to Angela, he understands all the pain she has gone through because of him. He admits he feels bad about it, saying he thinks it’s a bad time to put his foot down as an African man. Ilesanmi now wants everything to settle and wants to make peace with Angela again. Meanwhile, both Angela and Michael admit that they still love each other.
