Viewers have recently watched Vanessa and Colt’s intimacy issues play out on the spinoff, 90 Day: The Single Life. In an interview with Us Weekly, Vanessa explained that Colt’s “high sex drive” is too much for her. She said she doesn’t understand it. Vanessa says she is trying to compromise, but she doesn’t think she is up to that “five times a day thing.” Guerra said, “That’s too much for me.”
As for Colt, he said they will always have to work on their intimacy struggles, even as a married couple. Johnson explained that he feels like it is just something they need to work on. He said it is in two parts, really and he believes meeting in the middle is important. Colt believes that understanding that it is not just a one-sided issue is important and that it is about finding a compromise.
According to Vanessa, Colt has been “working on it” and the couple, who became engaged in November 2020, noted they are both committed to learning from their past relationships. They truly want to make their own relationship work. Colt feels like he wasn’t loving himself, or caring for himself in the past. Recently he has begun to focus more inwardly so he doesn’t have to rely on other people so much. Colt believes that moving forward in any relationship he will be able to handle things better.
Vanessa did admit that they are handling their intimacy issues “pretty well.” Despite their problems, Colt and his fiancé revealed there is something special about each other that makes them willing to work at correcting their flaws.
Colt explained that Vanessa is “completely different” from any other girl he has dated or been with. He said she is very patient and is the first person to sit down and listen to him, to figure out who he is. Colt said Vanessa never really wanted to change him. She just wants what is best for him and brings out more confidence in him. Johnson said this is just the best feeling in the world.
Meanwhile, Vanessa praised Colt for helping her to break out of her shell while on the TLC reality show. She admitted she was very shy before appearing on the show and was hesitant to do it. Vanessa says Colt pushes her to do things and to get out of her comfort zone and she thinks she needs that.
The trust problem between Colt and Vanessa stems from the fact that when they first got together, he was still dating Jess Caroline. However, according to Colt, his relationship with Vanessa is completely different. This is because they had a solid friendship before becoming romantically involved.
