Ironically, when teasers first came out for the discovery+ spinoff 90 Day: The Single Life, Molly Hopkins didn’t want to get involved with anyone. She wanted to have a roaring time with men, role-playing and having fun. However, she has since become involved with Kelly, a cop from Brooklyn, New York, with whom she connected online. Now she has to get ready to introduce him to her special-needs, 10-year-old daughter, Kensley.

On the discovery+ reality TV show, Molly Hopkins is preparing to take an important step in her relationship with Kelly. In a teaser clip for Sunday’s episode, Molly is getting ready to introduce Kelly to Kensley face-to-face for the first time.

Molly explains that Kelly has seen Kensley on FaceTime and has talked to her almost every day. She claims they have built a good rapport with each other. However, Molly explains that when you have a conversation with her daughter, it is hard to understand that she actually has a disability.

As her daughter, Kensley was born with special needs, Molly believes it important to talk to Kelly and explain what his interactions with her daughter might be like.

In the teaser, Molly says, “When you have a child that has a fragmented chromosome and approaches life in a different way, and you’re in a new relationship and it’s time for them to meet your kid, you have to have the conversation to really let your partner understand your kid.”

In the clip, Molly tells Kelly more about Kensley’s personality over breakfast. She explains that she is “brilliant,” adding, “When she’s talking to me when I’m upset, her reasoning and logic is so smart. She has normal conversations with you, she uses big words in the right context, but she can’t tie her shoes.”

Hopkins then becomes emotional, as she explains how sensitive Kensley is to conflict and physical touch. She explains that it isn’t easy to be part of her “crazy world.” Molly warns Kelly, “She’s going to come today and everything may be just fine, but you never know when something might happen.”
