90 Day Fiancé spoilers and updates reveal it’s official, the marriage between Ashley Martson and her estranged husband Jay Smith is finally over – well almost.

90 Day Fiancé fans will recall the on-again-off-again marriage of Ashley Martson and Jay Smith. Over the course of their relationship, Jay has signed divorce papers three times, the last being in November 2020. However, despite the fact the divorce is not yet finalized, Ashley, 34, says she is looking forward to finally putting the marriage behind her.

On Friday, Ashley took to social media to announce the news on Instagram. She posted a smiling image of herself and wrote, “If you’re noticing I look happier and a little bit lighter it could be the lipo or it could be that I have a ton of baggage off my shoulders.”

Martson, 34, appeared in season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé with Smith, 23, during 2018. The couple had met in a nightclub when Ashley was visiting Jay’s home country of Jamaica. After their first meeting on the island, Jay found her on social media. Six months later, when she visited him in Jamaica again, he proposed to her.

The marriage wasn’t meant to be, as after eight months, Ashley filed for divorce in January 2019. Just under two weeks later she changed her mind and withdrew the paperwork. The same process happened in April 2020, when she once again filed for divorce. However, Smith was arrested three months later in Pennsylvania for violating an order of protection.

When Jay was released shortly after his arrest, he and Ashley tried to make their relationship work. In a March 2020 YouTube video, Ashley told her fans they were definitely back together and “stronger than ever.” She swore they would stay together this time.

The next time they split was in September 2020 when Ashley announced their breakup via Instagram. She explained that she thought she was stronger and more forgiving, but she is not. Martson said that when the trust is broken is “just cannot be repaired.” She has given her all to the marriage and is heartbroken, but it is over.
