The Young and the Restless spoilers and updates say that in Genoa City, Wisconsin Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) has found her mother. It appears as though her mother, Naya, knew Rose, Hilary Curtis’ (also played by Mishael Morgan) adoptive mother, Rose. Here’s what you need to know.

Amanda shares the details that her private investigator uncovered with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) about her biological mom. She says that Rose and Naya were cousins but Naya came from a wealthy family. However, when she was in college she took a sudden sabbatical and at some point later Rose came home with a baby.

Mishael Morgan, who plays Amanda on the hit CBS soap, puts it this way to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, “When this woman gave birth to twins, Rose adopted Hilary but Amanda went into the foster care system, which makes no sense. And on top of that, finding out she comes from a family with money kind of upsets Amanda because there were 99 different thinks that could have been done instead of giving Amanda to essentially nobody. And then there’s the question of why Naya didn’t later search for her daughter. She could afford to find Amanda, so why didn’t she?”

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Amanda will tell Devon that she won’t be looking for Naya – for now. Amanda tells him that she’s at a point in her life that she doesn’t want to dig up anything from the past and that she can move on. What’s more, Amanda says that she has been successful enough in her life that she didn’t and she doesn’t need the support of her mother, so there’s no point in trying to find her.
