The Young and the Restless spoilers say that if there’s anything we’ve learned about life in this fictional town of Genoa City, Wisconsin it’s that no wedding happens without a side of drama. In fact, it’s almost never a Newman wedding unless someone tries to sabotage it from behind the scenes, right?

Well, while that might not be the case for Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz), it does seem as though Abby might be getting second thoughts before tying the knot with the man who is supposed to be the love of her life. Here’s what you need to know.

According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Abby and Chance’s wedding day arrives, but the moment that the bride begins getting ready, she’s suddenly hit with second thoughts about making things official with Chance.

Speaking to the publication in a new interview, The Young and the Restless Executive Producer and Head Writer Josh Griffith offers, “Mariah Copeland [Camryn Grimes], the maid of honor, sees that Abby is having a meltdown so she makes a distress call to Ashley Abbott [Eileen Davidson] for help. Ashley does her best to calm Abby’s fears, but realizes the only person who can do that is the groom himself.”

Thankfully, The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Chance talks with Abby and wipes away each and every doubt that she has, with the wedding going on as scheduled. For this moment Abby feels as though she is making the right decision. This wedding is of course an opportunity for the Newmans, Abbotts, and the Chancellors the put their differences to the side and celebrate this new couple and the life that they are about to make for themselves.
