The Young and the Restless Spoilers Wednesday, January 8: Chloe Freaks Over Chadam Reunion, Billy Supports Chelsea – Chance’s Amanda Mission

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, January 8, tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) has more birthday surprises in his future. At Jabot, Lola Abbott’s (Sasha Calle) got a cake for Kyle. He’s taken aback to see Lola, Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) waiting to celebrate.

Summer hands over a framed childhood picture, which features her with Kyle. Lola doesn’t look thrilled by the present. As for Jack, he mentions the hockey autograph he scored for his son. Theo arrives and mentions that improved social media numbers are his gift. Jack’s impressed by the news, but Kyle is clearly irritated.

Lola drags Kyle away and convinces him to let it go. That’s what she did when she was irked by Summer’s gift. Kyle eventually kisses Lola, who heads out. When Kyle returns to the office, Theo’s looking at the pic of Summer and Kyle.

At the Grand Phoenix, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) meets up with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), who thinks he’s back to the Billy they knew before. Billy’s unsure of which Billy he’s supposed to be and ponders the topic in his head. After Chloe shares her baby news, Billy’s excited for her. He questions Chloe about her secret to happiness, but Chloe points out she still cries herself to sleep now and then.

When Chloe wonders if Billy’s all right, he admits he’s a work in progress. Chloe steps away to speak with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), so Billy starts to text Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) before changing his mind. He reaches out to Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) instead.

Next, Chloe drops the baby bomb on an elated Chelsea, who reveals that she’s giving things another shot with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Chloe immediately blows up over Adam breaking Chelsea’s heart repeatedly. She can’t believe Adam has really changed and considers him a sociopath.

Chloe hopes Billy can make Chelsea see the light, but he supports Chelsea’s decision instead. It’s Chelsea’s life and she has to live it the way she chooses. Chloe isn’t pleased by Billy’s advice and reiterates her disapproval of Chelsea’s latest path.

The Young the Restless Spoilers – Abby Newman catches up with Devon Hamilton

Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), on the other hand, definitely approves of Elena Dawson’s (Brytni Sarpy) new idea. Elena wants to put a clinic in the New Hope building, which will offer easy access to its residents. After Devon suggests that’s a great plan, Elena gets busy dealing with a phone call. Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) takes the opportunity to catch up with Devon briefly.

Devon explains that the Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers) hunt still hasn’t turned up anything. As for Amanda, Devon doesn’t get why Amanda’s still in Genoa City. Abby points out that Amanda’s been the perfect guest at the Grand Phoenix. Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) comes up before Abby updates Devon on “Chance” Chancellor (Donny Boaz). She reveals that they’re dating now and adds that Chance is opening a new security firm in GC.

After Elena returns, Devon makes a call and hopes he can hire Chance to spy on Amanda. Across town, Adam visits Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) at the Newman ranch. They discuss Chelsea and Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) split as well as the “Chadam” family reunion.

Adam wants Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) to have a nice bond with his grandpa, but he also wants to make sure they aren’t left out of the holidays and important gatherings. The conversation eventually shifts to Chelsea’s questionable stability. Victor insists Chelsea is a con artist and a thief, but Adam doesn’t want to hear it. Nevertheless, Victor feels like Chelsea’s always going to be the way she is.

Talk turns to rule-breaking and whether Adam will continue to do so. Adam admits he’ll break every rule in the book if it’s for his family’s protection. He points out that’s something that he learned from his father. Victor seems amused by that and tells Adam good luck.

At the penthouse, Adam comes home and fills Chelsea in on his visit with Victor. He’s hopeful about where things stand.
