The Young and the Restless Spoilers Wednesday, January 29: Adam Shares His Parisian Plans With Chelsea

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, January 29, tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will prepare for date night. At the penthouse, Chelsea confesses she’s worried about running into Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). They head to Society anyway, where Adam suggests they should get a second home in Paris and use it when they want to explore Europe.

After Nick pops up as Chelsea feared, she insists this won’t ruin their date. Adam eventually walks off to take a call, which leaves Chelsea to speak with Nick. Talk turns to Chelsea and Adam’s Paris plans before they address “Chadam’s relationship. Chelsea feels it was for the best and adds that Nick was the one who pushed for it in the first place.

Nick contends that he doesn’t mind Chelsea being happy with Adam, but he hates to watch Adam break her heart again. Chelsea insists Adam won’t before Adam himself joins them. Chelsea admits she’s ready to go home and steps away, so Adam asks Nick about his conversation with Chelsea. Nick contends that maybe seeking a fresh start somewhere would be good for “Chadam.”

Adam snarks that Nick would like it if he left town, but he actually considers the topic with Chelsea later. After Chelsea says it wouldn’t be the worst idea in the world, Adam goes overboard on wanting to plan the move right away. Chelsea convinces Adam to slow down, but she’s touched that Adam would drop everything and turn his life upside down for her. Adam notes that his home is wherever Chelsea and Connor are.

Once Adam’s alone, he calls “Chance” Chancellor (Donny Boaz) to let him know that his guy heard from “her.” However, Adam admits she’s asking questions. Chelsea eavesdrops on Adam’s phone conversation nearby, so this could lead to some “Chadam” trouble!

At home, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) gets rattled over online research. She texts Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) to let him know she needs to get out for a while. At the Grand Phoenix, Sharon sits at the bar with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). She leaves Phyllis shocked when she’s actually nice to her.

Sharon pleasantly asks about Phyllis’ upcoming date and tries to make other girl talk. Phyllis isn’t successful in goading Sharon, so she’s left confused about the whole situation. Sharon contends that she’s concentrating on positivity, which baffles Phyllis even further.

Nick arrives while Sharon’s in the ladies’ room, so Phyllis grills him about why Sharon’s acting so weird. She mentions that Sharon’s being generous and sincere, but Nick points out Sharon’s always that way. Of course, that doesn’t usually go for Phyllis! She’s left looking pensive as Sharon returns and leaves with Nick.

Back at home, Sharon talks to Rey about feeling overwhelmed and needing a break. She appreciated being around people who didn’t know about her diagnosis. Rey offers his support with a hug. At the dive bar, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) texts Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) to see if there’s a chance she’ll be by later. Amanda texts back, “Sorry.”

Next, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) stops by the ranch and vents to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). She talks about Amanda and Billy’s desire for Victoria to accept him like she accepts Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). After Victoria’s gone, Victor appears and trashes Billy to Nikki. He thinks Victoria deserves better and should kick that punk to the curb.

Nikki thinks they have to think of the grandkids, but Victor continues his lengthy Billy rant. Afterward, a private investigator arrives and hands over the pics he snapped of Billy with Amanda. He explains that they’ve been meeting like this since before Christmas. The P.I. notes that he knows something else about Amanda, too.

At home, Billy returns for another fierce faceoff with Victoria. She rubs him the wrong way by asking if Billy’s been out with his new friend. Victoria assumes Billy was hoping Amanda might be at the bar and went there. They get into the same old therapy argument, but Billy can’t deal with all the judgment.

Victoria sees the signs of relapse in Billy, but he disagrees. They’re not making any progress, so Victoria contends that Billy doesn’t want help and perhaps just doesn’t want her. Billy feels like they keep circling back here and can’t do this anymore. He loads up a suitcase with his stuff and hugs Victoria before he exits.
