The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victor Does Damage Control With His Family

The Young and The Restless spoilers tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will do damage control with his family in an upcoming episode of The Young and The Restless!

The Young and the Restless Spoilers – Strife Has Arisen In The Newman Family Because Of An Old Secret From Kansas

As viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall, strife has risen among the Newman family because of an old secret from Kansas, that Victor had hoped would never be revealed, but now his youngest son Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has dug up a long-buried secret, with the help of childhood friend Alyssa Montalvo, (Maria DiDomenico) an investigative crime reporter.

The secret was about her father, AJ Montalvo (uncast character) who was killed when the two of them were children, and she has done her homework in getting information from everyone from sheriffs to coroners! Adam has used the information to leverage Victor into giving him the job of CEO of Newman Enterprises, unseating Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and making both her and Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) angry at their father for not fighting against Adam, and giving in to him!

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) has also tried to intervene for peace and finally got Victor to come clean to her about what really happened all those years ago in Kansas after he had at first only told her that he had nothing to do with the man’s death. It would seem, however, that he had everything to do with the cover-up, and trying to protect his WHOLE family, not just some of them!

Y&R Spoilers – Nikki Newman Told Victoria Newman The Secret In An Attempt To Mend The Rift Between Father And Daughter

Nikki Newman then reluctantly told Victoria the secret in an effort to mend the rift between father and daughter, because she definitely understood why Victor had made the choices he did back in long ago Kansas. She then told Victor that she had let Victoria into the loop when he got home.

Victoria immediately went and sought out Alyssa, who she told that Adam was using her to wrest her father’s company, which he had built from the ground up, out from under him and that Adam had never intended to publish her story, and not to believe a word he tells her because he is nothing but a liar. This information could be very, very bad for the company should it ever be exposed to the public, because it would paint a portrait of their founder and icon as an accessory to murder because he had worked hard to cover it up!

Then Adam finds out Victoria knows because, in a mystifying move, she seeks him out at his penthouse and tells him she knows! Adam rushes to get his father to sign the ironclad contract that he requested, not quite trusting that Victoria might not be trying to out-Victor Victor! Victor has no choice but to sign it – even though he had another plan that would cause Adam’s moves to backfire on him – and they still might, because Victoria didn’t tell Adam the part about Victor having covered up the murder of AJ Montalvo to protect Adam himself!
