The Young And The Restless Spoilers – New York Pal Became Enemy
Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) wasn’t thrilled to see Theo when he arrived from New York. Hardcore fans recall that Nic Luken (Theo) was the first actor who portrayed this new character in May 2019. He was soon replaced by Johnson, as Theo’s prominence expanded.
The backstory between Theo and Kyle was that they were party pals in New York. But Kyle intention to warn people about Theo repeatedly failed. Theo’s charm, as Summer Newman (Hunter King), the remainder of the Abbott family, Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle), and others learned, often held sway.
Y&R Spoilers – Self-Fulfilling Victim Prophecy
Theo cooked his own goose through the many underhanded choices he made and because he bad-mouthed Kyle, Summer, and others. He also believed that everyone else was the cause of all real and invented problems.
Hardly a victim, Theo had a chance to develop a relationship with Summer. He bluntly cut her loose because she didn’t want to move in with him. His later pursuit of Lola, whose wedding to Kyle he attempted to sabotage, was also doomed.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – There Was More To Theo Vanderway
Y&R, in its quick change from one actor to another, and then in writing Theo into a corner, appears to have been uncertain about this character. But it’s possible that he was always intended to be a limited-run antagonist.
Johnson is a good actor who took the scripts he was provided with and created a vulnerable alter ego. Yes, Theo could be flamboyantly selfish. But he was also the guy who had no family, realized one, and faced genuine outsider’s status.
Here’s wishing Johnson well in his career, as he has solid chops. As for Theo, he should try to make the most of his life in Paris, France, like his grandmother did. And then maybe one day, like Madame Mergeron, he’ll return to GC and make amends.
