The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) is willing and ready to fight the biggest fight of her life. Now that her cancer diagnosis is out in the open, she’s feeling a little overwhelmed but certainly not defeated. With that said, the beautiful blonde will be making some rather important decisions in the coming weeks. Here’s what you need to know.

Sharon has definitely been feeling as though she’s been put in an emotional tailspin over her cancer diagnosis. She wants to remain strong for her family but at the same time she is very worried about her future and of course, her children’s futures. In other words, Sharon can no longer fight back her tears as she is slowly but surely letting her guard down with everyone around her.

The Young and the Restless head writer Josh Griffith puts it this way to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, “Sharon is feeling overwhelmed that her life now revolved around cancer. She also feels she has lost control over her life. Sharon is proud of her independence so she feels guilty that she will need to rely heavily on those around her as she begins her treatment.”

To complicate matters even more, Sharon is also feeling quite upset that her daughter Faith Newman has decided to move back to Genoa City to be with her mother. While she certainly appreciates the love and the support she’s getting from everyone, she feels guilty that others are putting their lives on hold for her. Sharon tells her boyfriend Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) how she feels about this.

Griffith adds, “Sharon confides in Rey that she feels guilty when Faith decides to leave boarding school. Mariah has a lot on her plate but knows she must put her own problems aside and stay strong for both Sharon and Faith. Sharon and Mariah’s bond will grow even stronger.”
