The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) interest in Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) is obviously romantic. But his questions about her genetic history clearly indicate that an existing mystery will be pursued.

Amanda looks exactly like Hilary Hamilton (Morgan’s initial role on Y&R). How Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers) came to find Amanda is a question unto itself. However that happened, he then opted to exploit her doppelganger appearance in order to distract Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) as part of an apparent money laundering scheme that’s yet to be fully addressed, though Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) remains unofficially on the case.

The easy answer must be that Amanda is Hilary’s unknown, identical twin sister. But that’s not the only point that could be revealed.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Rose Turner Had At Least Two Daughters

No, we’re not assuming triplets or more. Morgan playing three sisters would be incredible and a stretch, to say the least.

Instead, let’s assume that Rose Turner (Leslie Stevens) is the mother of Hilary, as was already known, and also Amanda. Based on circumstances, Rose could have decided that she wasn’t capable of supporting her other daughter. So, she gave Amanda up for adoption at birth or somehow came to place her child with a family.

The connections to Rose’s personal history are endless, with the importance of any of them being how today’s characters are affected.

Y&R Spoilers – Hilary Hamilton Didn’t Know She Was A Twin

Hilary didn’t seem to know that she had a twin. Her mother likely never told her about this sister, as the issue was surely painful and possibly complicated.

There will be direct implications for Hilary’s husband if this assumed genetic connection proves true. Devon has already apologized to Hilary for the way he treated her. His intention, along with Elena Dawson’s (Brytni Sarpy), is to make amends.

Fans can clearly see that if Amanda proves to be Hilary’s sister, then Devon will naturally be linked to Morgan’s newest character in a way that he never expected. As the audience knows, neither he nor Elena has been speculating about the possibility that the look-a-like could be part of Hilary’s family tree. That’s one of those daytime issues that require the suspension of disbelief to be applied.

Morgan’s full-time return to the cast was warmly welcomed, as she’s a dynamic actor. Hopes were easily fulfilled about her new character the instant Morgan appeared on screen as Amanda, as she quickly embodied a fresh persona.

Now, as Nate’s question is sure to provoke a quest for answers, Amanda will begin her search for the truth. Whatever the realization, it’s sure to deepen Morgan’s new alter ego, which provides further intrigue for the audience in an already solid storyline.
